Job Description

  • Advise staff on interpretation, application and implementation of Employment Law and policies, processes and procedures
  • Oversee the management and promotion of LAbour Relations by interpreting and applying Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Workplace Law, Compensation Occupation Injuries Dispensation (COID) Act; Occupational Health and Safety Act and Bargaining Council (wages, annual leave, climatic conditions)
  • Manage CCMA, BIBC and BCCEI cases and disputes as well as conflict between employees
  • Maintain strong relationships with staff, management and external community to ensure that projects run smoothly
  • Ensure established procedures are always followed
  • Assist in preparing and compiling confidential documentation when required
  • Assist employees with HR related queries and requests

Minimum Requirements

  • Tertiary HR Degree/Diploma
  • Proficient in MS Office, Internet searching and Analysing
  • Proficient in English and Xhosa, Afrikaans advantageous
  • Knowledge of principles/procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labour relations, negotiation and personnel information systems
  • Knowledge of human behaviour performance, individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning and motivation
  • Valid driver's license
