Job Description

  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
  • Working with the relevant Manufacturer’s software for service and spare parts
  • Training local staff where required at times
  • Thorough mechanical knowledge of crusher and related equipment.
  • Analyze malfunctions and repairs and rebuild conveyors and crushing equipment.
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear.
  • Weld broken parts and structural members and other items as necessary
  • Perform record keeping of time and parts used on the appropriate forms.
  • Perform general cleaning of work areas and maintenance areas.
  • Required to work on drilling machines (pneumatic and hydraulic) and compressors, Jaw, cone and VSI crushers, screens, grizzly, conveyors (all stationary units), CAT and Volvo Earth moving machinery as well as Hydraulic breakers

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualified mechanic
  • Minimum 10 yrs experience with international exposure within Africa
  • Sound knowledge of workshop procedures and excellent diagnostic skills
