To manage the site employees, equipment and material in order to ensure that the project is completed within the set time frames, cost, safety and quality. This site manager position is for specifically the managing of sites for overhead powerlines/transmission lines from 132KV up to 765KV.

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in managing of sites for overhead powerlines/transmission lines.
- Good people and communication skills and an ability to interact with internal and external parties
- Must have hands-on experience in the electrical field
Job Specification
Manages the flow of work activities to ensure a systematic attainment of objectives
Compiles progress reports to the Contract Engineer
Liaises with the Contract Engineer in making decisions that could adversely affect the progress of the project
Controls all tooling on site by keeping a tools issuing logbook
Informs the Contract Engineer of any damage to equipment or short-deliveries
Ensures that all the work performed on site meets the required standard of workmanship
Plans and complements labour to meet the set deadlines
Procures the equipment and materials required on the overhead powerline sites
Manages the use of vehicle, equipment and materials on site
Implements and maintains measures to promote good working relations with the client and other contractors
Keeps time and attendance records and forwards to the Head Office for processing
Ensures that all the employees comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Ensures that correct systems and procedures as per the contract agreement are implemented, filed and complied with
Ensures that all plant and equipment are maintained and kept in working order by conducting scheduled inspections and record keeping of such inspections
Inspects all equipment dispatched to site to ensure that it complies with set quality and safety standards
