Protection Engineer (Electrical Heavy Current)

Introduction
Work environment: Electrical Heavy Current, Transmission and Distribution Substations
Salary Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

Minimum requirements
Completed Diploma / Btech / Beng Degree (Electrical Heavy Current)
At least two years experience within a electrical engineering heavy current environment
Detailed knowledge of primary electrical plant designs a must
Experience within Electrical Heavy Current, Civil and Mechanical Engineering fields

Job Specification
Preparation of detailed designs for Integrated Control and Protection (ICAP) applications in transmission and distribution substations
Carry out commissioning, maintenance and fault finding on installations where required
Operation of modern protection relay technology / substation automation and its application through to commissioning
Working knowledge of control / SCADA systems
Project Management
Computer literacy in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word and MS Projects
Experience with AUTO CAD would be an advantage
