Minimum Requirements
• Electrical Diploma with at least 3 year's supertension cable installation experience (overhead powerlines/transmission lines)
• Or 5 Years contracting civil/electrical, supertension cable installation (overhead powerlines/transmission lines)
• Project Management Diploma
• Formal health and safety accreditation
Job Specification
• Management of multiple construction sites of overhead lines.
• Supervise and motivate subordinates and site personnel
• Maintain and assess work and contracts in a cost effective manner, within agreed budget, meeting completion dates and ensuring quality of work by implementing QA procedures
• Ensure complete familiarity and understanding of all project documentation and contract documents
• Responsible for final testing, commissioning and hand over of contracts of the overhead powerline project.
• Develop personnel by improving their knowledge, attitudes and skills through training, job rotation, appraisals (or performance) and potential in accordance with the training procedure
• Health, safety and environmental management by applying the OHS Act and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
• Active pursuit of PI commercial interests and nurturing and maintaining good customer relations
• Check and sign off site prepared work summary sheets and report writing for the powerline project.
