Job Description

  • Compile and arrange logistics for dispatches and create an effective production plan
  • Oversee the logistics function of the service providers which include railsport, road transport, warehouses, shipping lines and customs
  • Facilitate orders according to client specifications
  • Focus strongly on customer service and quality thereof
  • Place orders for international shipments
  • Liaise with various agents and clients on shipping schedules
  • Create and submit reports
  • Any ad hoc projects
  • Give suggestions for system improvements
  • Ensure HSEQ policies and legislation is adhered to at all times
  • Supervise teams
  • Ensure the section’s cost control measures are adhered to
  • Ensure oneself is electronically available 24/7
  • Ensure the alignment of sales are always in order
  • Schedule production activities in accordance with sales concluded by the sales managers

Minimum Requirements

  • N. Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics / Industrial Engineering
  • 3 years’ management/ supervisory exp in the relevant environment
  • 5 years’ exp in a production’s or logistics environment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
