Job Description

  • Reliability Engineering evaluations including investigations, fundamental calculations and trials
  • Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other related problems that adversely affect plant operations.
  • Perform Reliability Engineering projects to develop, maintain and support components, products and/or services per market demands, as well as for continual process improvements
  • Provide conceptual and strategic solutions to solve problems that are associated with Reliability Engineering projects or evaluations
  • Identify opportunities for asset redesign to improve reliability.
  • Assisting in and supporting programs for effective communication of Reliability Engineering issues to ensure compliance with global standards for design and safety of products and services, as well as engineering best practices
  • Streamline engineering processes used to design, develop, maintain and support components, products and/or services
  • Manage risk to the achievement of an organization’s strategic objectives in the areas of environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality and production.
  • Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc in Engineering or equivalent
  • Specialised studies, training and experience in Reliability Engineering and/or Maintenance Management is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in mining or mining equipment industry
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office, MS Word, Statistical and Database Management Software e.g.cellphone, SQL, SAP, Meridium etc. is essential
  • Required to travel to the customer's location
  • Valid Driver's Licence
