Going green at work

  1. Buy recycled paper and paper products. look at the package and it will say if it’s recycled or not. Make sure that everyone uses a recycle bin for all paperwork.
  2. Have your desk next to a window so Mother Nature can provide the light!
  3. Instead of printing office memos, send co-workers an email instead. Have employees read manuals online to keep from using paper.
  4. In cleaning the office, use non-toxic cleaning products. Brighten up your office with plants. Not only are they pretty, but they actually absorb indoor toxins!
  5. Replace your light bulbs with energy efficient bulbs. Not only are they good for the environment, they last much longer.
  6. Request online material and bank statements as opposed to receiving it by mail.
  7. In Winter, try to keep your office at a steady temperature. Wear warmer clothes and do not leave the office door open.
  8. When you leave the office for the day, instead of just turning everything off, try unplugging everything. It will save energy in the long run.
